Our Business Advisory Group

Chad Reed is the Business Advisory Group Manager for Live Oak Bank. Prior to working at Live Oak, Reed worked as a Wholesale Broker Analyst for National City Mortgage and was a Unit Leader within the Loan Servicing department for Bank One out of Lexington, KY. Reed graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor’s
in Economics.

Outside of Live Oak Bank, Reed enjoys the simple things in life, like dinner and movie with his wife, running, following the Kentucky Wildcats, playing basketball, golf and traveling when he can. This year, Chad and Karson welcomed a son to their family, so he spends a lot of time with his new baby.

David Barker joined Live Oak Bank after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.

In his spare time, he enjoys Saturdays in Athens (Go Dawgs!), playing basketball, going to rock ‘n’ roll concerts and sitting on the beach. He also enjoys spending time with his family in his hometown of Savannah.

Louise Northington joined Live Oak Bank after graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a concentration in Financial Analysis.

In her spare time, Louise enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She grew up a devoted UNC fan and still enjoys going to Carolina basketball games every season! Go Heels! Louise is new to the Wilmington area and enjoys spending time at the beach.

Megan Keeter joined Live Oak Bank after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While in college she was a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Honor Society as well as many other campus clubs.

Outside of Live Oak, Megan enjoys going to the beach with friends, working out and spending time with her family in her hometown of Charlotte, NC. She also is a member of Port City Community Church and would one day love to travel around the world and participate in missionary work.

CJ Thompson joined Live Oak Bank after graduating from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While in college, CJ earned letters in both varsity baseball and football for the Generals.

Outside of Live Oak, CJ enjoys spending time outside at the beach, working out, surfing and remaining active. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with family in his hometown of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Ford Williams serves Live Oak Bank as a Servicing Officer and is responsible for assisting other loan officers in examining, evaluating and closing commercial extensions of credit. Prior to joining Live Oak Bank, Williams worked for Vine Street Financial, a division of BB&T, and was a Regional Sales Associate for Employer Payment Solutions, where his responsibilities included the discovery of clients looking to outsource their companies’ payroll. Williams also does some moonlighting in the springtime as a manger for Lewis Nursery and Farms – a seasonal farmer’s market in Wilmington, NC that’s famous for its “pick-your-own strawberries” and homemade ice cream.

Williams attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and still enjoys watching his Tar Heels when he gets the chance. He also enjoys surfing and sailing, something he learned to do as a kid while growing up at the beach.

Caroline Huffman joined Live Oak Bank after servicing BB&T in Wilmington, North Carolina. Prior to her employment at BB&T,  she attended Auburn University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Economics and minoring in Technical and Professional Communications.

Outside of Live Oak , Caroline enjoys fishing and skiing with friends in Colorado. She and twin sister grew up loving  the mountains, especially whitewater rafting on the Gauley River in West Virginia. She loves to travel and one day hopes to visit her favorite spots in Europe.

Lauren Huckabee joined Live Oak Bank after serving as an Assurance Associate at McGladrey, LLP.  A graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Lauren earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting before completing her Masters of Science in Accountancy.

Born and raised in Wilmington, NC, Lauren loves being near the ocean and spending time outdoors.  In her free time she enjoys running, painting, reading and traveling.
