Our Marketing Team

Micah Davis is the Marketing Director for Live Oak Bank. Prior to joining Live Oak, Micah spent eight years working in various design and marketing roles within Bank of America. This included roles in Social Media Marketing, Brand Marketing, and the Sponsorship Marketing group, where he focused on partnerships with the NFL, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, and New England Patriots. Before his time at BofA, Micah was a freelance designer and entrepreneur, supporting client marketing initiatives across print, digital, and traditional media.

Davis is a graduate of the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), with a degree in Visual Design and Communications; he was also a 2 Time NCAA All-American, and 2 Time Pac-10 Champion for Oregon in Track and Field.

When out of the office, Micah spends his time with his wife, Journee, and their three children (Josiah, Naomi, and Norah) enjoying the beach and the outdoors whenever possible.

Laura Petty is responsible for overseeing Live Oak’s overall marketing initiatives including sponsorships, events and public relations. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Laura worked for ESPN, handling logistics and event operations for football, basketball, NCAA Championships and Home Depot’s annual College Football Awards.  Laura’s previous career experience at Octagon (an international sports marketing agency) as the Account Manager for Bank of America, provided her with a strong background in marketing and public relations in the financial industry. Laura moved to Wilmington and joined the Live Oak family in February 2011.

During Laura’s free time, she enjoys yoga, running on the beach and watching Carolina athletics. Go Heels! When she’s not on the road for business, she loves traveling and experiencing new places.

Krisiann Jackson is the Social Media and Digital Marketing Expert for Live Oak Bank and is responsible for the digital marketing initiatives, social media management and creative marketing efforts. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University, Krisiann moved to Wrightsville Beach, where she worked as the Internet Marketing Specialist at Sage Island (an integrated marketing agency) managing their digital marketing efforts as well as giving a fresh marketing perspective to all client projects. Krisiann joined the Live Oak Bank family in November 2012.

When Krisiann is away from work, she enjoys relaxing on the beach, reading or shopping with friends. Living in Wrightsville Beach influences her love of the outdoors and spending time on the water. As a born and raised New Yorker, Krisiann encounters the sports divide over the Mason Dixon line and is still figuring it out.

As a graduate from East Carolina University with a concentration in Graphic Design, I enjoy helping create any visual communication needed to help promote or market ideas, education or solutions. After learning all about the boating industry with Hatteras Yachts, I came to Wilmington to hone my skills in a local marketing agency. Having been on both sides of the agency table, I am happy to call Live Oak Bank home.

Outside of the design world, I can be found watching some form of motor sports racing, working on my personal car or under a friend’s car hood, or plotting how to build a real life Iron Man suit. When not working with tools, I love to cook and I am also a volunteer firefighter with New Hanover County Fire Rescue.
