Meet Your Pharmacy Lending Team

You won’t find commissioned salespeople at Live Oak Bank.  Instead, you’ll work with a senior lending professional who is an owner of our company and is uniquely invested in helping you succeed.  Meet your team below.

A third-generation pharmacist, Ed Webman brings broad experience and expertise to his position as a loan officer responsible for examining, evaluating and closing extensions of credit to pharmacies. He got his first taste of pharmacy life working in his family’s business as a teenager and started his professional career as a pharmacist for a chain and later for an independent. Ed then joined QS/1 Data Systems where he was responsible for pharmacy computer system sales and installations. After nearly a decade, Ed left QS/1 to start his own pharmacy business, which he eventually sold to Fedco, a regional chain. He joined the company as senior vice president and director of pharmacy and led the acquisition and divesture program. After Fedco was sold in 2001, Ed started Central Florida Pharmacy/Advanced Medical, a specialty pharmacy and DME supplier. He grew the businesses from the ground up and sold them in 2007.

Just like an independent pharmacy, Live Oak Bank is built around offering exceptional customer service.

After five years of working for a large regional bank that bought out our community banking company, my partners and I decided to develop Live Oak Bank. The operating theme of this large regional bank was to support small businesses and be customer friendly; however, it became very clear that management was strictly focused on profits alone. At Live Oak, I have the ability to make certain commitments early on in a customer's loan application and the management team will honor those commitments. I have the ability to deliver customer service above and beyond anything possibly offered by another lender via the staff of professionals we have assembled from loan origination, to closing and servicing. I always tell my lending team, "our success depends on our borrowers' success.
