Utah State University Gets Most Recent Veterinary Program

Jimmy Mahan and a few members of the our Live Oak Bank marketing team recently paid a visit to one of the most recently accredited veterinary programs in the nation at Utah State University. This is the first veterinary program in the state of Utah, which not only supports the growth of USU but also fulfills the need for more practicing vets in the state. The veterinary program was approved by Utah State University legislature on March 9th, 2011 allowing the first veterinary class to begin their studies this fall.

Live Oak Bank contributes to the care of one lucky dog, Dingo

August 7, 2012 – Wilmington, NC – On January 19, 2012, Nathan Moody, a search and rescue volunteer, who resides in the Bahamas, boarded the Joy B, which was found anchored in shallow waters near Memory Rock. Four months earlier, the owner, 72-year old John William Batchelor, had set sail on the Joy B for his annual pilgrimage; now, he was missing, leaving his four-legged companion, Dingo, to fend for himself.

Live Oak Bank employees enjoy a day at Sunset Park Elementary

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 – Wilmington, NC – On Friday, June 1st, Live Oak Bank employees will spend the day with Kindergarten through fifth grade students at Sunset Park Elementary School. The Live Oakers will man nine different activity stations, which will revolve around the summer Olympic Games. The events include hurdles, Olympic torch relay, discus throw, shot put, Olympic rings, long jump and basketball shooting.
