Position Summary

Live Oak Bank is a technology-centric online bank leveraging Salesforce as its core technology platform. The Integration Engineer’s primary responsibility is to oversee the continued design, development, and maintenance of the many system-to-system interfaces supporting critical bank operations. Live Oak Bank largely uses SnapLogic as its middleware/integration layer and is seeking a candidate who has SnapLogic experience or, lacking that, experience in similar technologies. The bank’s technology roadmap includes continued expansion into microservices, Force.com, and multiple vendor integrations. The Integration Engineer is responsible for helping define and implement those initiatives while supporting ongoing bank operations. This is a multi-faceted, hands-on, development role requiring the assessment of current systems and the development and testing of new solutions through existing and/or new technologies. Although SnapLogic is a primary use case, the integration engineer also serves as a versatile development resource whose knowledge and full-stack development capabilities will be applied to multiple projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Effectively collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and other technical resources to design and deliver new features and functionality
• Evaluate scope and develop corresponding effort estimates for new projects
• Assess existing integration implementations offer recommendations on improvement
• Assist in defining/implementing technical procedures and guidelines for the team
• Maintain a flexible work environment and attitude that adapts to changing priorities

Required

• BS degree in Computer Science / Engineering / MIS or related experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in application development and data integration space
• Expertise with API Creation and RESTful services
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Knowledge of database access techniques including relational and NoSQL data sources
• Experience leading multiple integration projects
• Understanding of analysis, release management, manual and automated testing

Preferred

• 2+ years of SnapLogic or other IPaaS solution (Jitterbit, Mulesoft, etc.)
• Expertise in SnapLogic pipeline/adapter development
• Experience integrating with SalesForce/Force.com platform
• Experience creating and supporting integration with then Financial Services industry
• General experience in the Financial Services industry
• Atlassian tool experience a plus (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
