How This Role impacts Live Oak:

 The Head of Learning and Development will engage closely with managers across Live Oak to develop and drive a comprehensive strategy.  This approach will welcome, acclimate, nurture, and grow employees in support of business objectives, organizational effectiveness, change management, talent development, and employee productivity and engagement. 

What You’ll Do at Live Oak:

    • Lead the Learning and Development center of excellence team
    • Participate in the design, creation, and delivery of training for all employees, including initial on-boarding, role specific development, leadership programs, and values-based curricula
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business and identify and respond to current and future learning and development needs
    • Actively participate in inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness efforts
    • Grow the talents and skill sets across the organization
    • Own and manage the learning and development budget
    • Define the ROI of learning and development initiatives
    • Support the delivery of Talent initiatives
    • Work across Live Oak to support the achievement of strategic goals
    • Model effective team leadership, delegation, and collaboration 

How You’ll Do It:

    • Anticipate training needs as Live Oak continues to grow and diversify
    • Provide leadership and navigation through change
    • Collaborate with the Talent team, sharing knowledge and best practices
    • Participate in workforce planning and preparations in support of company-wide succession preparedness
    • Ensure Learning and Development initiatives and plans are aligned to business priorities and monitor effectiveness through the tracking of key measures
    • Stay current on market trends and best practices to deliver relevant and insightful thought leadership
    • Own the evaluation and evolution of training, learning, and development programs
    • Build strong relationships with third party training providers
    • Embrace and support different learning styles and training techniques, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning, and coaching
    • Define and analyze pertinent metrics to evaluate learning and development initiatives

 Required and Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3 to 5 years of Learning and Development leadership (VP – Head of Learning and Development)
    • Designing and implementing effective and engaging training content and learning opportunities 
    • Leading an organization through significant change
