The Story
A dedicated educator, Laura Kulkarni dreamed of opening a school of her own. With the support of Live Oak Bank, she fulfilled this vision with the construction of a Goddard childcare franchise, a world-class preschool in Millburn, NJ. The Goddard School offers a unique curriculum and promotes a trilingual education by teaching Mandarin, Spanish and English to children from 6 weeks of age to 6 years old.
More than just a lender, Live Oak serves as a strategic partner to support Laura’s admirable goals. “Goddard and Live Oak have given me a gift to give all of these children. They will be global citizens when they graduate,” she offers.
Laura suggests the larger implications of early-childhood education at The Goddard School by explaining, “30 years from now when those children sit around and somebody says ‘we need a new idea’ they literally may be more likely to think outside the box because of what they experienced at six months old than others.” It’s difficult to quantify the extraordinarily positive impact that Laura and this Goddard childcare franchise will have, as these children emerge into the world.
