Hear from Edward Sagel and Albert Bloomfield as they share how they acquired and grew their funeral business.
Edward Sagel and Albert Bloomfield of Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care Inc. know the ins and outs of running a successful funeral business. As a first generation funeral director, Sagel started Edward Sagel Funeral Direction in 1994 to serve the needs of Jewish Community but later sold the business to a corporation. Similarly, Bloomfield, a third generation funeral director, and his family ran a successful operation but in 1996 sold the funeral business to a corporation.
Fast-forward to 2014 when the opportunity arose to buy back two of the funeral homes. Sagel and Bloomfield partnered together to purchase the funeral homes with financing from Live Oak Bank. After managing the funeral homes under the corporate structure, returning to private ownership presented several opportunities. Sagel and Bloomfield have been able to achieve success by operating and growing the business to meet the needs of the community.
In 2015, Sagel and Bloomfield expanded and renovated a new space. Our funeral home financing helped their vision to create a modern and inviting funeral home a reality. With new technology and software, Sagel and Bloomfield offer families an easier planning process and more service options. Their innovation, persistence and dedication to serving the community have contributed to their achievements.
