  • How do I deposit a check using Mobile Deposit?

    Mobile Deposit is a fast and secure way to deposit checks using your phone’s camera to capture the image of the front and back of your check(s). Follow the instructions below to make a deposit.

    1. Choose the camera icon at the bottom of the screen and select Make a Deposit.
    2. Select the account to use for your deposit.
    3. Enter the anticipated amount of the total deposit and select Next. (Deposit limits apply)
    4. Sign the back of the check and write “For Mobile Deposit at Live Oak Bank Only”.
    5. Follow the prompts to take a photo of the front and back of your endorsed check(s). For best results, use a dark-colored surface in a well-lit area and position the camera directly over the check.
    6. Review and Submit your deposit.
    7. Deposits are subject to review. You will receive an email notification should the deposit be adjusted or rejected.
    8. Store your check(s) in a secure location for 14 days after completing your deposit in case you need the original copy for any reason. Destroy the check(s) after 14 days.
  • What is the cutoff time for Mobile Deposit?

    The cutoff time for Mobile Deposit is 4:00 PM ET. Deposits made after the cutoff will be processed on the following business day.

  • When will my funds from my Mobile Deposit be available?

    Funds will be credited to your account once the deposit has been processed. For security and verification purposes, funds will be held for up to five business days once posted to your account. Mobile Deposits are not available for immediate withdrawal.

  • When will I begin earning interest on my Mobile Deposit?

    Interest will begin to accrue on the day the deposit is posted to your account.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your cell phone provider and internet service provider for details on specific fees and charges.
