How This Role impacts Live Oak:

The Talent Management Business Partner role will engage closely with managers across Live Oak to develop and drive a comprehensive people strategy in support of business objectives, organizational effectiveness, change management, talent development, and employee productivity and engagement. 

What You’ll Do at Live Oak:

    • Drive organizational design, the people strategy, talent management, and workforce planning
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, managers, and fellow employees
    • Help lead and actively participate in inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness efforts
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to identify and respond to current and future people related requirements
    • Stay current on market trends and best practices to deliver relevant and insightful thought leadership
    • Actively contribute to and collaborate with the broader Talent Experience team, sharing knowledge and practices that will help Talent be more effective for the entire organization
    • Support the delivery of Talent initiatives, identifying and managing opportunities in the Talent Management Business Partner realm of influence and working more widely across Live Oak to support the achievement of strategic goals
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
    • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
    • Participate in influencing, evaluating and monitoring success of training, learning and development programs
  • How You’ll Do It:
    • Own the employee experience from hire to exit
    • Serve as objective and fair advocate in all employee relations matters
    • Ensure Talent Management and Development initiatives and plans are aligned to the business priorities and monitor effectiveness through the tracking of key measures
    • Assist in defining, processing and analyzing pertinent metrics to tell the Live Oak Talent story and identify opportunities
    • Collaborate across the Talent Experience team on all Talent related actions to ensure accuracy in hiring, promoting, and compensating practices
    • Facilitate the pre-start new hire experience
    • Orchestrate the Day 1 orientation for new hires
    • Complete HRIS onboarding
    • Partner with Finance and executive leadership to design benefit plans
    • Liaise with third party benefit providers to administer plans and enrollments
    • Perform payroll maintenance and processing
    • Align performance management to drive and reinforce desired behaviors
    • Evolve, model and usher performance management company-wide
    • Lead change initiatives and implement specific Talent Management and Development strategies to achieve organization goals and objectives
    • Interpret and advise on Talent Management and Development  policy to manage associated risk

 Required and Preferred Experience:

    • Relevant undergraduate degree; prior work experience preferred (ABP)
    • 3+ years of experience in multiple Talent/HR functions (BP)
    • 5+ years of experience in multiple Talent/HR functions; management experience preferred (SBP)
    • Leading an organization through significant change
    • Designing and implementing Talent Management and Development strategies (BP and SBP)
    • Experience driving organizational change initiatives, developing workforce plans, and influencing managers (BP and SBP)
